About Patti
After a near-fatal rock climbing accident and four subsequent years of struggle within the western mental health system, Patti had no choice but to dive head first into the complex world of healing. She quickly found that each of the domains of health — physical, emotional, mental, relational, spiritual — do not exist in isolation (as they are often treated), but in deep, intimate relationship with one another.
After recovering her health, she set out to better understand why there is an epidemic of serious health crises, and what this might be showing us about our collective relationship with ourselves and the planet. After years of study and training in the field of trauma, energetics, nervous system and somatic health, Patti began to suspect that the epidemic of physical and mental dis-ease might be pointing towards something much deeper than “diet and exercise”. Her signature talks reflect her findings in this rich and relevant field of study.
Patti’s teaching style is motivational, humorous, relatable and real. She enjoys bringing experiential leaning, group discussion and relevant, relatable material to the spaces that she facilitates.
Facilitation Themes
Patti is most excited when speaking on the topics of nervous system health, energetic and personal power management, and the importance of consciously recognizing and owning the stories and narratives that we hold.
Topics & Audience
Patti primarily speaks to audiences in career fields with high occurrences of stress and burnout, as well as facilitation of spaces and events that cater to female audiences. She enjoys speaking and facilitating around the following topics:
The relationship between nervous system health and our mental and physical wellbeing
Communication skills and the art of having hard conversations well
The importance of cultivating resilience in times of stress and uncertainty
Education around tools and skills needed to take true responsibility for our own health and healing
Responsible power use
focus
Patti believes deeply that our personal wellbeing — and the collective health of the planet — depends on our willingness to go inward and transform the pain from our life’s challenges and trials into our personal truth and message. She loves empowering others with the tools to start doing so in their own lives.
More recently, Patti has concerned herself with the study of personal power, and where power intersects with language use. She draws on the fields of psychology, biology, modern neuroscience and energetics to help others understand what exactly our personal power is, and how we can begin to take responsibility for it. Her dream is to use her findings to support the collective in transitioning out of the “power-over” paradigm, and begin to create a world where personal power is harnessed and used for the collective betterment of all Life on the planet.
